Michael Boezi

Thought-provoking original songs that invite progressive, collectivist, and non-confrontational reflection as an antidote to the years of programming and propaganda we all endure. I perform regularly (~40 shows/year) in the metro Boston area in a busking, "electric folk" Billy Bragg style – and in a band format too. I just released No Love Songs, Vol. 2 which features some of Boston’s best musicians as collaborators. Paired with Vol. 1, it is 23 songs about how to stay human in today’s culture. Comparisons include Billy Bragg, Andrew Bird, Kurt Vile, Dire Straits, Mountain Goats, R.E.M, Pete Townshend, and Richard Thompson. My current project is a call-to-action for artists of all types to reimagine the world we want to see. The current system doesn't work (obviously) – it's time to rebuild something new in its place.
