Well, I guess I am stuck in the 90's. It was a period of time where I could listen to just about any genre and be inspired, and I was... I still am. I love a good riff, I love a great groove, and melody is everything. I have tried to expand my horizons but I keep returning to the decade which made me want to make music full time. I gave it my best shot back then and I got about as close as you can get to making a living at it without actually getting there. Before the 90's my primary inspirations were U2 and The Clash, I had tunnel vision and I missed a lot along the way which I am still revisiting. I was a child of AM radio, so I have a well earned guilty pleasure in really cheezy 70's love songs. But when I heard Soundgarden for the first time in 1990... that was it. I was sold.
