Matryoshka Monsters

This is a collection of songs I wrote and released during a manic episode. I wanted it to feel like you're dropped into a nightmare and you're trying in vain to navigate your way through the abject darkness, but all you find is monsters. Or rather, they find you. You run breathlessly through the darkness, stumbling, tumbling, bruising your body, skinning your knees, finding gravel your palms and blood on your lips, but you can't tell if it's yours... You try to flee in vain, until you realize you've become the monster you've been running from. Note: I spent 6 hours making monster sounds and they're embedded in each of the songs. I wanted it to be almost imperceptible in some of the songs, sometimes it sounds like faint clipping.... but no, it's monsters. They're everywhere, wearing human skin. I "painted" the album cover in Procreate on my iPad. Look at the lil baby matryoshka monster, precariously perched at the edge of the shelf... it gives me an unsettled feeling, as though the baby will shatter on the floor when it inevitably gets knocked off by a cat... or one of its monstrous siblings.
