Unlucky in love. Lucky in songs. Maybe there's a connection? Cause and effect? 3,000 songs and counting, give or take a hundred or two. Well-traveled. 13 states. At least six "careers," 30+ jobs, lots of roads traveled, less and more. Still haven't figured out what I want to be when I grow up, though have always known. Lots of distractions and detours. Striving for that balance between childlike wonder and sophistication, as Matisse sorta put it. Most of my songs are about lost love, careless love, checklist love, conditional love, ironic love, betrayal, emotional blackmail, narcissists and sociopaths. But also about redemption and resurrection, grace, peace, freedom, truth...and love! I'm a genre-chameleon. 300 years of influences, from Bach to Geese. A few ballparks: singer-songwriter, Americana, rock, folk-rock, retro pop, soul, blues, jazz, alt-country, indie, EDM, shoegaze, Brit pop, grunge, adult alternative, ambient pop, to name a few.
