Ben Mackin is a singer/songwriter from the Vermont area playing acoustic guitar and writing in alternate tunings that create a beautiful melody that you can drift away on. Ben has been writing and playing since the age of 14, where as an anxious teen needing to write and express himself picked up his mother's country western Gibson acoustic and started writing and singing his heart out. Without any lessons, his mother said "Do you know what you're doing?" Ben never looked back and has been writing and performing for more than 26 years playing at coffee houses and music venues expanding from VT, NY, MA, NH, MI... Ben has been working on two albums, writing and recording the songs himself, with two singles just released. "Heart Outside The Door." An acoustic track that sorts through the thoughts of opening up one's heart until they are ready. "So Complicated."
